Terms of Use
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Office Tax Services CFO (“the service,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By accessing or using the service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
1. Acceptance of terms
By creating an account, connecting a QuickBooks Online company, or otherwise using the service, you represent that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
2. Authorized business use
The service is intended for business owners, executives, and authorized representatives of the business whose information is being analyzed. You must have the authority to access and use the data you submit or connect to the service.
3. Account and credentials
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials, access codes, and any other authentication information. You agree to notify us promptly of any unauthorized access to or use of your account.
4. QuickBooks Online Connection
If you choose to connect QuickBooks Online, you authorize us to access the applicable QuickBooks company data through Intuit’s OAuth service. You must have the right and authority to connect the selected QuickBooks company.
You may disconnect or revoke that authorization at any time through the service or your Intuit account settings. Disconnecting stops future data access, but it does not delete data already retained in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
5. Financial data and dashboard accuracy
Dashboards, metrics, alerts, scores, projections, and other outputs depend on the accuracy, completeness, timing, and classification of data in your QuickBooks Online company or any manually uploaded reports. We do not independently verify the accuracy of the underlying financial data.
The dashboard, calculations, and analytics are provided as informational business-management tools. They are not guarantees of future performance, results, or outcomes.
6. Not professional advice
Use of the service by itself is not a substitute for individualized legal, investment, accounting, or tax advice. Any separate professional services provided by Office Tax Services are governed by the applicable engagement letter, proposal, or service agreement.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Access or attempt to access accounts, data, or systems you are not authorized to use;
- Scrape, crawl, or harvest data from the service except as permitted by these Terms;
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the service where prohibited;
- Interfere with or disrupt the service, servers, or networks;
- Upload or transmit malicious code, viruses, or harmful content;
- Share credentials or access codes in a way that violates permissions or these Terms;
- Connect a QuickBooks Online company or upload reports for a business you are not authorized to represent.
8. Third-party services
The service relies on third-party services, including Intuit QuickBooks Online, Google authentication, Stripe, and hosting providers. Your use of those services is subject to their respective terms and policies. We are not responsible for their availability, performance, or practices.
9. Intellectual property
All content, software, designs, trademarks, and other materials provided through the service are owned by Office Tax Services or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without our prior written consent.
10. Service availability and changes
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time, with or without notice. We do not guarantee that the service will be available at all times or free from errors or interruptions.
11. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the service if you violate these Terms, misuse the service, or if required by law. You may stop using the service at any time.
12. Fees and subscriptions
Some features of the service may require payment. If applicable, fees and subscription terms are governed by the applicable order, plan, proposal, or service agreement. All charges are non-refundable except as expressly stated in those terms.
13. Disclaimers
The service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We disclaim all warranties, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
14. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Office Tax Services and its affiliates, officers, employees, and agents will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim related to the service will not exceed the greater of one hundred U.S. dollars (US$100) or the amount you paid to us for the service in the twelve months preceding the claim.
15. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Office Tax Services and its affiliates, officers, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, liabilities, costs, or expenses arising out of your use of the service, your violation of these Terms, or your infringement of any third-party rights.
16. Changes to these Terms
